Dragon Rider Cymru

Dragon Rider Cymru is the new motorcycle rider training course supported by the Driving Standards Agency Enhanced Rider Scheme and Thunderroad Motorcycles of South Wales.

The Road Safety Teams from the Counties of Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Pembrokeshire have worked in partnership to develop this course of advanced rider skills that is delivered by experienced and qualified motorcycle Instructors who are accredited by the DSA Register of Post Test Motorcycle Instructors.

Pass Plus Cymru

Pass Plus Cymru is a Welsh Government funded scheme, which is aimed at young drivers aged between 17and 25 who have recently passed their test. The scheme aims to help young drivers improve driving skills, gain extra experience, and possibly obtain a discount on their car insurance.

This is where you can access a wide range of useful information on all aspects of road safety education, training and publicity.

On this website you will find advice and guidance for all road users together with information on local road safety projects, campaigns, and useful links to other road safety websites.

Around 2500 people are killed every year on our roads and around ten times as many are seriously injured.

The community as a whole has an important role to play in reducing road collisions. All road users bear some responsibility for the level of danger on our roads, but the main responsibility lies with those capable of potentially causing the most harm. These are the road users, in particular drivers, who are also the best protected. At the other end of the scale, pedestrians and cyclists pose the least threat but are more vulnerable.
